Freshman Daryl Bat started the scoring at 7:42 of the first period on assists from senior captain Calvin Chartrand and sophomore Mark Phenow. Stefan Bjork added a power-play goal at 9:33 after taking the feed from Bat and Chartrand.

Ferris State got on the board at 15:20 of the opening period after Bulldog senior Brent Wishart took a pass from Brian McCullough deep in the Beaver zone and banked it off Bob Tallarico's pads from the bottom of the right circle.

McCullough tied the game at 13:28 of the second period after picking up a Beaver turnover near the crease and burying the shot, making the score 2-2.

Sophomore Rob Collins recorded the game-winner, unassisted, by scoring his first goal of the series at 14:23 of the second. Freshman Nick Field scored his second goal of the series at 5:58 of the third period for the Bulldogs' insurance.

Sophomore Phil Osaer picked up his fourth win of the year for Ferris State after stopping 18 of 20 Beaver shots. Tallarico stopped 29 of 33 shots in his debut for Bemidji State.
