WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Junior center Mike Fairman erupted for four goals as Army hammered Bentley College, 6-2, in nonconference action Saturday night before 2,693 at Tate Rink.

The win was the first of the season for Army after five losses and a tie.

Bentley, which notched its first Division I win Friday night with a 3-2 decision over Holy Cross, dropped to 1-3.

Fairman opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 3:44 of the first, then netted a natural hat trick in the middle period.

He made it a 3-0 game at 2:39 of the second, and 5-0 at about the nine-minute mark of the period with a goal that chased starting netminder Ray DeVincent from the Bentley nets.
