Kasperek scored the first -- and the eventual game-winning -- goal for the Purple Eagles at the 10:55 mark of the first period, capitalizing on a loose puck in front of Air Force goaltender Sean Broderick.
Kasperek also scored the second goal of the game, on the power play with under 20 seconds remaining in the first to give Niagara a 2-0 lead. Mikko Sivonen closed out the scoring for the Purple Eagles as a blast from Colin Rows deflected in the net off Sivonen's shin pad at 18:40 of the second frame. The helper was Rows' second of the night, as he earned the primary assist on Kasperek's second goal.
"It was a great effort by our team once again," said Niagara head coach Blaise MacDonald. "We displayed lots of energy, execution and maturity tonight. It was an easy game to get frustrated with because of our many opportunities, but few goals.
"However, we stayed focused. This is another game that is important as we jockey for position in our conference and get a hold on first place."
Niagara goaltender Greg Gardner was called upon to stop just 10 shots for the Purple Eagles (14-5-1, 7-0-1 CHA), while Broderick made 45 saves for the Falcons (9-9-2, 1-5-0 CHA).
